Herbally Ever Laughter has a big place in my heart since It was started up by some friends of mine which I did Logan’s Amused Moose Comedy Course. The Club is simple that a Music Club designed for dancing with inapporiate lighting odd seating. However it is good fun. The atmosphere is warm and freindly Time out descubies it as “A big bunch of newish comics and more established ones trying out new material”. It a FREE night with a good audience something that can be quite rare.

Interested Act:

To Book up you have to ring Andy and convince him that he should put you on. Don’t try and convince him that your funny this won’t impressive him. If you want a spot bring a Audience, simple as that. The Club is successful for the simple reason that everyone is required to bring at least one audience member, thus meaning unlike a lot of the comedy clubs at the moment where it is a bunch of comediens playing to other comediens who just sit their and rub their chins. Also you get Kudo for turning up and supporting the club when you are not on.

In this Club you will be up infront of a bunch of real people!! (Coheced into being their no the less)

To book ring Andy on 07941 304202

Down Stairs at the Kings Head

Tuesday, March 15th, 2005

Down stairs and the Kings Head is a excellent Purpose built (well purpose decorated) club. It has a various different night but it is mainly aimed around comedy (either sketch shows or stand up) They also do music.

Directions:
From Finsbury Park Station, leave the station by the back exit (Wells Terrace) where there’s a bus station. You want the W7 towards Crouch End, which runs every ten minutes or so. It takes about five minutes until you get to the shops of Crouch End Broadway. You’ll see the King’s Head in front of you, on the left of the cross roads.

Stand-ups:

In my opinion you should always have a gig booked at the Kings Head. It’s one of the places you can get a good sized audience even when you are starting out. It very popular and takes about 2 months to get on, but it well worth it. At a lot of open spots the comediens tend to out number the audience, but not here. They have a good range of comediens from first times to old hands trying out material. It friendly and a damm good place to Gauge material.

If you are looking to get a spot the ring (01920) 823 265 between the hours of 9am to 11am. You’ll need to turn up about 7:30 to sign in.
