Word at a time is a game is a impro game however I think the skills it teaches are incredible useful if you are planning on doing any improvisation during stand up. The game is easy, Two people tell a story one word at a time. For example:

When asked to be orginal poeple will general force themself to look for a more bizarre and idea which is completely from outside the circle.
