Are you a budding stand-up? If so, the annual So You Think You’re Funny? hunt for the rawest of new talents want to hear from you.
Sponsored this year by Channel Five and the Paramount Comedy Channel, the contest involves 21 regional showcases, a whole heap of semi-finals in Edinburgh, and a final towards the end of the fringe festival.
The winner not only gets £2000, but also a trip to the Montreal Just For Laughs festival next year – plus they’ll become the face of the Paramount Comedy Channel, being used as their on screen identity.
But you’ll have to be good: last year’s competition attracted more than 600 entrants, and previous title-holders include Peter Kay, Dylan Moran, Tommy Tiernan and Rhona Cameron.
